If by now you somehow haven’t seen Raglans‘ absolutely insane video for their latest single, Natives, I really don’t have much else to say to you other than it’s embedded below, and you have absolutely no excuse not to watch it.
The Raglads have once again teamed up with director pal Finn Keenan, and this time they’ve managed to create what is perhaps the closest thing to an acid-fuelled self-help film, complete with the use of an effectively gawky green screen. Natives itself is characteristically Raglans; a painfully catchy chorus accompanied by clever lyrics and their signature, tight musicianship.
It’ll be no surprise for most to hear that Raglans have recently been snapped up by the UK-based Cuckoo Records with whom they’ll be releasing a re-recorded version of Digging Holes on July 1st, as well playing as a handful of overseas dates, beginning with Start The Bus in Bristol on July 8th.
To celebrate the release of Natives, Raglans will be performing in Whelan’s this Friday, June 28th, with tickets available from both Ticketmaster and WAV Tickets now. Support on the night comes from the fabulous Daithí, and the first 200 people to buy a ticket will receive a free, limited edition CD single.
