Villagers in session at Steven Hero Productions.

Art by David OstowHave a listen to Villagers‘ Conor O’Brien doing a beautiful job of covering Irish classic, On Raglan Road by Patrick Kavanagh/Luke Kelly. Recorded for The Wild Honey Pie‘s series of live sessions, Buzzsessions, at Steven Hero Productions in Brooklyn NY, it captures O’Brien at his finest; powerfully stark vocals accompanied by a muted acoustic guitar.

He also performed Nothing Arrivedthe second single from 2013’s {Awayland} and both tracks are available as free MP3 downloads from Soundcloud.

Villagers will be touring through North America throughout June, and their next Irish date will most likely be Longitude Festival in Dublin’s Marlay Park on the 20th July where I hope to see Conor and his Village People in fine form. Tickets for Longitude are priced at €149.50 for three days, or alternatively you can buy a single day ticket for €54.50.
